"content": "We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Wyndham. This venue really does it all for you. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at the hotel, which was super easy for our guests. They also had a free shuttle to downtown which was a plus so that our visitors could easily explore! \n\nFirst, we don’t have enough nice things to say about Chelsea, our venue coordinator. She was a dream to work with - super communicative, easy going, helpful, kind, and friendly. We had lots of questions in the months leading up to the wedding that she helped answer or get us info for. The weekend and day of the wedding, she took care of everything for us. The staff did a great job setting up our decor for us and matched our vision perfectly. Everything was a breeze. \n\nThe food at the hotel was also great, both the night before and day of the wedding. And they offered lots of food throughout the night, including late night pizza, which was a hit. The bartenders were so friendly and kind. Everyone we worked with there was amazing and helped make our day perfect. \n\nNot to mention, the space was gorgeous! We held our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks with a full bar in the terrace room which turned out to be perfect, and got married and held our reception in the Atlantic ballroom which was beautiful. It was the perfect space for what we needed. \n\nOverall we highly recommend booking the Wyndham for any event or wedding! They are the best to work with, great location, and have a beautiful space! ",

"content": "BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE HAVING MY WEDDING HERE. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. We had our ceremony and reception on site and most of our guests stayed at the hotel. Planning with Heather Smith was UNREAL. She truly handled EVERYTHING and I didn't worry about one thing on the day of. SO grateful to Heather!! The Wyndham is such a beautiful hotel. The ceremony location was stunning and private. We had our reception on the 2nd floor and that ballroom is amazing. Perfect big wide open space, great bar. Everyone at The Wyndham was amazing, we had the BEST service and everyone raved about the food! The rooms were also really nice, big and clean! The outdoor bar is also so fun and we had casual welcome drinks there! There's also a shuttle that takes you right downtown! The Wyndham made our dreams come true!!! ",

"content": "Our wedding day on October 17th at the Wyndham was nothing short of incredible!!! We worked with Chelsea Jenkins who was absolutely amazing to work with. From our first tour with her, we knew we would be able to depend on her to help bring our wedding vision to life and she would be someone we could depend on to make sure the day would go smoothly. She is knowledgeable, patient, and super organized and gave us such great advice in helping make decisions for our big day. The food was absolutely amazing. I had numerous guests tell me the halibut and lobster risotto was one of the best dishes they've ever had. The morning after the wedding - we came back to the bridal suite off the venue and all of our signs and items were back in the room for us and packed into the boxes they came in which was so lovely (other weddings I've been to the bridal party has to pack up the room night of). We were able to get right to our after party without worrying about packing up the room which we were so happy about. We toured a few other venues in Newport and didn't feel very welcome or impressed by those we toured with and are SO happy that we went with Wyndham Newport and Chelsea!!",

Attentive, organized, professional, and kind, Chelsea turned our dream into a reality. She was the star of the event and hands down one of the best coordinators I have ever worked with—we are beyond thankful for her.\n\nThe Wyndham Newport itself was stunning. The staff was amazing, the outdoor spaces dreamy with perfect views, and the ballroom was the ideal setting for our wedding. Everything was beautifully executed, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect.\n\nAnd the food—wow. For our 140-person wedding, about 100 guests chose the surf and turf, and it was phenomenal. Honestly, I was jealous of the other entrées too because every option was to die for. The bar was fantastic, and the cocktail hour was the best I’ve ever experienced.\n\nWe couldn’t recommend a better place to host a wedding. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations and gave us memories we’ll cherish forever.",

"content": "My husband and I recently got married at the Atlantic Resort at Wyndham Newport, and we truly can't say enough incredible things about our experience. We toured many venues, but since the moment we arrived, we knew it was the one! From our first tour to our wedding day, our day-of coordinator, Chelsea, and the rest of the staff were amazing, professional, organized, kind and so supportive. Chelsea made the entire wedding planning process as stress-free as possible, and we truly could not have asked for a better day-of coordinator. She was kind, always attentive to answering all of our questions, making recommendations, and just being truly invested in making our day so special. The day itself was absolutely perfect, and better than we could have ever imagined. The entire setting was beautiful, with the most perfect location, stunning grounds and elegant interiors. Chelsea and her staff were so attentive to detail and truly made the day run so seamlessly. Our guests are still raving about the ambiance, food, and just how incredible all the staff were. From our stay at the Wyndham Newport Hotel, the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, we truly could not have asked for a better weekend. We are so grateful for the memories we were able to make here, and we would highly recommend Chelsea, the staff and this venue to anyone! ",

"content": "A Dream Wedding Thanks to Heather Smith and the Atlantic Resort!\n\nWe could not have imagined a more perfect wedding venue than the Atlantic Resort at the Wyndham Newport Hotel — and that’s largely thanks to the amazing Heather Smith, the Catering Sales Manager (and truly, our wedding superhero!).\n\nFrom day one, Heather was everything we could have hoped for in a coordinator — friendly, down-to-earth, supportive, and genuinely invested in making our big day unforgettable. She was always available to answer questions, offer advice, and go above and beyond to ensure every detail came together flawlessly.\n\nHeather helped coordinate everything — from décor and vendor logistics to food service and guest experience — with such grace and professionalism. She even helped wrangle a dozen babies and children (no easy feat!) and stepped in as an emergency seamstress when we had a wardrobe hiccup. Talk about dedication!\n\nAs if the Atlantic Resort wasn’t magical enough, nature added its own touch: the night before our wedding, after a major rainstorm, a stunning rainbow appeared over the venue — and our wedding day ended up being the only clear day of the entire week. It truly felt like the stars aligned.\n\nOur guests are still raving about the beautiful setting, the incredible service, and how seamless the entire event felt. None of it would have been possible without Heather’s calm leadership, organizational magic, and caring heart.\n\n*One unexpected downside, was the hotel did not offer any real drawers/place to put clothes away. Literally, no dresser and they only offer a metal rod that is like 5\" across - which does not hold/hang much. It was inconvenient and quite odd for a hotel not to offer a basic item.\nWe’re so grateful for Heather and the entire team at Atlantic Resort. If you're looking for a breathtaking venue with top-notch service and a coordinator who truly cares, look no further. Thank you for making our wedding everything we dreamed of and more!",

"content": "I recently had my wedding at the Wyndham, and I truly cannot say enough good things about this venue! From the minute I arrived for the weekend, I felt supported and attended to. Elaine and all her staff were amazing, and made sure all of my details for the weekend went seamlessly. \n\nThe day of my wedding originally had called for rain, and Elaine made an entire backup plan in case we could not have the ceremony outside. She kept in contact with me throughout the whole day, and I never felt any stress because I knew she had it under control! All of my guests were comfortable and had nothing but great things to say about how seamless the day flowed.\n\nAlso can I mention- the food was amazing!! So many of my guests complimented how amazing their dishes were, and how the appetizers were delicious. Even my dessert table came out stunning.\n\nThe hotel amenities were also awesome. There is a shuttle that my guests took advantage of that drops you off right in downtown Newport. I had opted to get ready off-site with my bridesmaids, and was able to set up the hotel shuttle to pick us up from the Airbnb and bring us to the ceremony. They truly accommodate anything!\n\nI truly could not recommend the Wyndham Newport enough. I had the best weekend and couldn’t have asked for anything better. You will not be disappointed if you decide to book your wedding here! :)",

"content": "We had our wedding 4/4/2025 at the Wyndham and I truly cannot say enough good things. From our first official tour through the entire process, our wedding coordinator Chelsea made us feel at ease. We had toured many venues prior to coming to the Wyndham and this was the only place I felt like wasn't trying to rip us off. We did the winter package (and were blessed with a 70 degree April day!) and it is the best deal around! They are also so transparent with fees, tax, and gratuity which eased our anxiety. Wedding planning is so stressful as it is - Chelsea and the rest of the Wyndham staff made it so easy. They were so attentive and so accommodating to all of our requests. We had wondered if we should add a station to our cocktail hour for more money and they assured us that would not be necessary as there was plenty of food - and they were right! So many people are still raving about the food. My husband and I got pulled around cocktail hour and barely ate, and when we sat there were two plates of hors d'oeuvres at our seat waiting for us. The waiters kept constantly coming to check on us and ask if we needed anything so we didn't have to get up. The reception space was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. They are also very relaxed in terms of picking up decorations the following day as well which was so appreciated, as I have friends currently dealing with their venue insisting on things being packed up and picked up the night of. I cannot recommend Chelsea and the team at the Wyndham enough!",

"content": "We had our ceremony & reception at the Wyndham Newport on November 2nd, 2024 and it was the absolute best day of our lives and a lot of that is attributable to the amazing staff at Wydham. Especially our wedding coordinator, Elaine, she was exceptional in making sure that every detail leading up and the day of went according to plan. She was very responsive, helpful and just such a calming presence during the stress of wedding planning. The staff the day of were absolutely amazing, including the hotel front desk staff, the waiters/waitresses, and the bartenders. Everyone was so profressional which made for a lot of happy guests. Thank you to all the staff for making our day so special!!! ",

HER COLLEAGUE ELAINE HELP WITH THE WEDDING REHEARSAL. ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING, CHELSEA WAS THERE AND SHE IS A TROOPER. I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A THING. THE WYNDHAM KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! WE WERE SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE CEREMONY OUTSIDE HOWEVER WE CHANGED OUR MINDS DUE TO THE WEATHER. I DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL. IT WAS SUCH A SPECTACULAR WEEKEND. "content": "Having our wedding at the Atlantic Resort at the Wyndham was a dream. Working with Elaine as our coordinator made the day go off without a hitch! Everything was absolutely perfect and she was so organized and experienced. I can’t imagine planning the wedding without her help! The hotel itself was beautiful and multiple guests mentioned to us how nice the rooms were. The ballroom (Easton Pavillion upstairs) was absolutely gorgeous and the space was laid out perfectly for our event. It really was so seamless and beautiful. The arbor outside on the property was beautiful and the sunset overlooking the water was so dreamy and antic! I highly recommend getting married at this venue ",

"content": "It's been a week since my wedding at the Wyndham, and I am still on Cloud 9! I fell in love with this venue as soon as I saw that gorgeous star chandelier in the upstairs ballroom. It was something I had never seen before, and something I knew my guests had never seen either. It is truly a show-stopper. I wanted a glamorous/glitzy wedding vibe (very anti-rustic!) and this venue was exactly what I was looking for. Since our wedding was November 3rd, we were able to get \"winter wedding\" prices, which was honestly the only way we were able to swing it for a wedding of 165 guests. But it was worth every penny! The food was fantastic. My guests could not stop raving about all of it. From cocktail hour, to dinner, to dessert. Everything was amazing. The staff was incredible. But I must give the biggest shoutout to Elaine, my wedding coordinator. She was amazing to work with. She really knows her stuff and helped the planning process go super smooth. And day of...she kept everything on track. I cannot thank her enough for helping coordinate my dream wedding. Picking the venue was super stressful, but I am so glad I went with my gut and picked the Wyndham. It was everything and more!",

"content": "The BEST venue ever!!! It’s a one stop shop! We got married outside, had our cocktail hour under the tent and had the wedding in the gorgeous ballroom upstairs!!! Guests got to sleep over and didn’t have to drive! Chelsea is the BEST. Never ever made me feel stressed especially without a wedding planner. And the entire experience is amazing!!!! Highly recommend!!!",

I absolutely had to write this review to make sure everybody knows how pleased we were. \nChelsea Jenkins was the person who walked me through the whole process from beginning to end. She is professional, cordial and brings just the right amount of calmness to all things wedding related! \nThe venue itself was fabulous. The rooms were spacious, clean and contemporary. \nThe Atlantic Pavilion, where the ceremony/reception was held was stunning. \nAnd, I honestly can’t believe how many people have told me how delicious the food was from appetizers to entrees to late night snacks. \nIf I had to pick out one negative it would be that no coffee/tea was served at dessert. I assumed it was a given but after looking at the paperwork, it clearly shows no coffee/tea. I would only ask that they make that clear for any future potential wedding clients. \nJust wonderful! I want to do it all over again!",

"content": "This venue is everything - from location to service hands down the best in the business. Elaine is EVERYTHING. She works with you to create a memorable experience. She is so passionate about what she does you’d be hard pressed to find someone better. She goes the extra mile to make everything perfect and all the while makes you feel so special. She always makes time for you to ask questions and share ideas. Again, just the best. The venue staff are super friendly and take any stress you might have away. We got married outside on site and held our reception on the second floor and LOVED the design and amenities. The food is 11/10 - people were blown away by how good everything is. Cannot say enough that this is the venue to go with if you’re looking for a beautiful coastal wedding experience. ",

Having the beautiful ceremony area, the elegant Easton pavilion ball room for the reception and never mind the clean and updated hotel rooms for the guests was everything I could have imagined for my wedding. I had the “suite” at a discounted rate which was perfect for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready as the room was huge! And made for perfect pictures. The food was amazing from the starters to the delicious desserts. Chelsea was my day of coordinator and she was such a help. Planning a wedding is STRESSFUL and she was always there to answer all of my questions and put everything together for me day of just how I imagined it. This venue had everything possible to make for a perfect wedding day!",

We hosted a traditional two day Indian wedding at the Atlantic Resort at Wyndham Newport, and it was an incredible weekend because of the hard work, positive attitude, and flexibility of the staff at this hotel. \n\nWe spent a lot of time working with Elaine to talk about our vision and when an unexpected thunderstorm came during our first outdoor event, the staff really stepped up to make sure our event could continue. We're so grateful. Additionally the venue was so welcoming to our cultural ceremonies and the venue itself is beautiful — we utilized the tent outside, the ceremony space outdoors overlooking the water, and the beautiful ballrooms. \n\nWe're so happy we chose this venue, not only because it is beautiful, but also because of the staff (especially Elaine!) who worked so hard to make the weekend special for us.",

From the first day we saw the venue, Chelsea was right by our side. She showed us the beautiful space and then guided us through the entire process from that day on. Chelsea and her whole staff was open to any and all ideas we had and truly made our dream vision come to life. Then the wedding day came and I can honestly say everything went off without a hitch. Stacey, the banquet manager, was with us throughout the entire night and made sure we were happy, fed, and having the best time. This was the third place we looked it and I still had a long list of places I wanted to see in Newport .. but the Wyndham stole my heart . Not only is the hotel immaculate, but it’s a one stop shop for your wedding day . The grounds are beautiful , there is an AMAZING outdoor patio bar area , with fire pits , corn hole , couches , dining, entertainment- the vibe was exactly what I wanted for my family and friends who stayed the weekend with us. Every single staff I had contact with was so friendly and professional from the front desk, the bar tenders , to the function manager , Sue Souza who made sure we were very well taken care off all weekend! Leticia was the woman who helped coordinate wedding room blocks- also fantastic! \nThe wedding coordinator Chelsea was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning to the very end . She was professional, friendly and prompt . I never had to wait for answers when any questions would arise prior to my wedding and she too , made sure we were well taken care of . She went above and beyond my expectations! Honestly the whole hotel did . The food was also amazing!!!! Our guests could not get over how delicious every single meal was , from lunch at the bar to our wedding menu .. people were blown away . \nI’m still on cloud 9 from the most beautiful best weekend ever !",

Virginia is very kind, generous, helpful and professional. She was always there way I needed her to make adjustments to my reservations. She made sure that everything ran smoothly for my guests that were part of our wedding block. I can’t thank her enough for all of her support! She even held my cookies in her office until it was time to check in. \n\nThe hotel is really beautiful and clean! The staff is very kind and accommodating! They helped hand out our goodie bags to our guests arriving. We really enjoyed hanging out by the outdoor bar and seating area whenever possible. Everyone was impressed with the hotel. \n\nThe rooms were spacious and had a lot of storage space. I really loved the view we had as well. \n\nWe also had our post wedding brunch here. Elaine helped me plan it. She was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious! \n\nI have to say, it was a very nice experience staying at the Wyndham and we will be back!",

"content": "I can’t say enough great things about The Atlantic Resort! We were supposed to get married July 2020, but had to postpone till August 2021. The Atlantic Resort was so accommodating with the date change and really worked with us to help move our wedding to a different date. We had our ceremony outside and the pictures came out beautiful. Our reception was in the upstairs ballroom and we fell in love with the twinkle lights. The food was amazing and all of our guests have raved about the food since then. Your guests will not leave hungry! We worked with Elaine for our day of coordinator and she treated us like we were family. Elaine answered all our texts, calls and emails and really helped work with our budget. I can’t recommend this venue enough and they helped give us the wedding we have always wanted. ",

We had a credit for a free night at a Wyndham, so we checked out the Wyndham Newport Hotel. We were amazed at how great and clean the rooms were, how friendly the staff were and how good the food was at Johnny's. We weren't engaged yet but we figured we would be soon and we saw they had a wedding venue. We checked it out and kept it in mind. When we finally got engaged in October of 2020, this was the first and last place we checked out. We met with Elaine who immediately felt like family. She agreed to hold a date for us for a few weeks, but we went to lunch at Johnny's and thought, Why wait? We met back up with Elaine just one hour later and committed to this venue. From there everything was easy. Planning a wedding can be stressful but this venue takes care of everything for you. Elaine was there every step of the way especially when the wedding was getting close, it seemed like we talked with her everyday. She helped us in so many ways and was so accommodating including helping our signature drink, a holiday themed Pomegranate margarita, come to light. All the little things she did for us made our dream wedding become a reality. The food at this venue is nothing short of 5 stars in our book. We had everyone coming up to us saying how impressed they were with the venue and how delicious the food was. To top it off they even served chocolate covered strawberries with everyone's wedding cake and the late night pizza was such a hit, people were thrilled. They even let the party continue afterward at Johnny's bar where the staff is also super friendly. This is such an ideal location for a wedding. We also did our rehearsal dinner here and the food was so delicious, everyone is still talking about it wanting to go back for more. This is an all in one venue that is so convenient, you don't even have to leave. I would recommend this venue to anyone who's looking to get married in the area.",

"content": "On October 9th, 2021 my husband and I had our rescheduled COVID Wedding Celebration. Originally we were scheduled to wed on October 17th, 2021. Due to the pandemic we had to reschedule. We ended up having a very small celebration on October 10th, 2020 at a different location and with a very small number of attendees. We still wanted to have our larger celebration and were so grateful that the Wyndham had availability 1 year later. We ended up having Elaine as our coordinator and she was phenomenal. She was very engaged, knowledgeable about wedding planning and the venue, responsive and very accommodating. She kept us all in line and made sure our day went as smoothly as possible. Everyone we worked with were so accommodating and flexible due to the current status the world was in. The venue was spectacular and the food was delicious. We received many compliments. All our guests had a great time. The day was everything we had hoped it would be.",

"content": "We had our wedding \"Sequel\" celebration on 11/21/2021 approximately a year after our initial wedding date and having a micro-wedding in my parents backyard in 2020. Not only did Chelsea and her team seamlessly shift all of our deposits and contracts to our new date, but she continued to stay in touch with us throughout the year to make sure we were informed of any new updates. As we approached the Sequel, Chelsea worked tirelessly to make sure everything went smoothly and did not blink an eye when we have many special meal requests or showed up for our staging with two cars full of decor items and 125 of our own gold chargers. We also decided at the last minute to add on a brunch the following morning and because it was Chelsea running the show, it was \"no problem.\" She has a calm and gentle demeanor that is perfectly suited for this industry and always made us a feel special. \nWe could not recommend this venue more!! It has everything you need in one space which makes it super convenient for your guests. The hotel is stunning and attached! Chelsea and her team are top notch! The venue itself is beautiful and has many opportunities and spots for photos, inside and out! The food is divine!! We had a complete blast at our Sequel and it was because we knew everything was being taken care of (and it was!). 12/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!",

"content": "Such an exceptional venue! We got so lucky with choosing Atlantic Resort at Wyndham Newport! We were a COVID wedding (original date 4/4/2020) and thank goodness this was our venue. We heard nightmares from other COVID couples about their venues not being so flexible with something so out of their control. That was not the case with Atlantic Resort. With the unknown of COVID and restrictions we moved our date 4 times! Every single time Elaine (our day-of coordinator with Atlantic Resort) made it an easy process. She was quick to respond to all my questions every step of the way! We signed the contract 7/2018 and finally had our wedding turned wedding celebration 8/27/21 (so 3 years I had the pleasure of working with Elaine). She lifted so much weight off my shoulders with being so easy and flexible to work with. Anything we needed she made it happen. Her support staff and lead support (Nicole) made sure things stayed on time and in line (i.e. our rowdy bridal party) so we could get to the dancing ASAP! I had no sense of time once we got down to the ceremony, but she was always there to let us know what was happening next so we could properly prepare. We cannot recommend Elaine and Atlantic Resort enough!!! It is a beautiful venue both upstairs and downstairs. We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside and had that beautiful backdrop. They properly staffed the bar which was very important to my husband who was a bartender for 10 years. We never saw anyone having to wait for a drink. It's definitely not for the lack of guests going up because they definitely made their trips with how they were feeling at the end of the night! Number one compliment we have gotten from our guests is how amazing the food was! Cocktail hour and dinner were phenomenal! Filet mignon was definitely the fan favorite! Guests said it was just melting in their mouths and one of the best they ever had. I honestly don't know what else I could say to have you choose here. I am just so glad I did.",

We were scheduled to get married at a different venue in 2020 and had to reschedule to July 2021 due to COVID. Just under 3 months before my wedding after having multiple issues because of COVID restrictions with my old venue my husband and I met with Elaine and knew that we needed to move venues. Elaine and the staff at Atlantic Resort were all great and easy to work with. I wanted linen upgrades, tables upgrades and had a very specific vision for the room and Elaine executed it perfectly! There are no hidden fees and no set up fees. I found that they tried to work with you whenever possible. The food was incredible and am told by everyone it is the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Our wedding was beautiful and a dream come true and I can’t thank Elaine and the staff at Atlantic Resort enough!",

"content": "Long post, but a worthy read!\n\nNew England couples- look no further, THIS is THE venue to book!! The Atlantic Resort at Wyndham Newport has it all- from all inclusive event packages to on-site lodging, to having the best event coordinators and support staff! I had always envisioned my wedding a certain way (all planned by the age of 13 thanks to Pinterest); but never knew where I wanted to get married. Living on Cape Cod we expanded our search to the Newport area and this venue blew all the others out of the water. Affordable, inclusive, elegant, and just all around perfect. Our guests raved about the food (there was SO much in package three- do yourselves a favor and get that package!!!) as well as the on-site lodging which offered a spacious bridal suite and large, clean, modern hotel rooms. Our #1 item for venue shopping was to have everything at one location, and this exceeded all of our standards. \n\nElaine Holder, the events/catering manager is a true, real life wedding fairy Godmother who executes the event seamlessly to perfection (seriously, ask her about her donut vendor story). She is the most personable, kind, entertaining person, and exactly who we wanted to be by our sides on our big day. From the moment we met her upon touring the venue we were in awe of her knowledge and expertise in her craft. She was always immediately available with any questions, comments, or concerns, which is exactly what a bride needs. She ensured a seamless transition from ceremony to reception all while engaging with our guests and ensuring happiness/approval from the married couple throughout the night. (She even makes sure you get the chance to sit down and enjoy the fabulous dinner they make!) \n\nVirginia Pesiridis is the Group Sales Manager who also was always immediately available and was gracious enough to cater to our guest's needs, even down to last minute bookings. \n\nWe had our rehearsal dinner on location in the Sunset Room which was perfect for our 27 guests the night before the wedding, family style dinner with an open bar of beer/wine. After our rehearsal dinner, we welcomed all guests to the outdoor patio which had a fire pit, full bar, and food service to which we were able to engage and socialize with guests prior to the big day (highly recommend- this was so fun and relaxing!)\n\nLocation is key: We had about 111 guests at our wedding to which most stayed on-site, others had the opportunity to book with the nearby hotels/Air BnB's all within a 10 minute radius which truly catered to each of our guest's needs. Also the ability to have multiple Uber/Lyft's in the area after a night of partying ensured the safety of our guests. \n\nThe only \"complaint\" I had was that we couldn't stop time- we truly had the best day/weekend ever mainly because of this venue and their staff. We cannot wait to visit again next year to revel in the memories and bliss of marriage on our one year anniversary! "content": "I would HIGHLY recommend the Atlantic Resort if you are looking to host your wedding in the Newport RI area! Chelsea and her team were very easy to work with and made every single one of our requests for the evening come true! We had to postpone our 2020 wedding due to COVID and the venue allowed us to rebook on a new date, no questions asked, no hard time, no extra fees. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour on the front lawn which was absolutely beautiful. We had our reception in the upstairs ballroom with the twinkle lights and all of our guests told us it was the most beautiful ballroom they had ever been in. The food and drinks were great, even the vegan option for dinner was beautiful and tasted great (something that doesn't often happen at wedding venues)! The pricing is extremely reasonable compared to other venues in the Newport area. The other great feature is that there is a hotel right on site so it made it so we could host our entire event in one place - guests came for the ceremony and stayed at the same spot for the entirety of the night which was easy for guests and also meant we did not have to spend extra money on guest transportation. All in all Chelsea and her team at the Atlantic Resort helped to make this the best night ever, I honestly would not have changed a single thing!",

In the final months leading up to our wedding, Chelsea fielded all of our questions with ease, coordinated with our vendor team, and always made us feel like she had everything under control. When we arrived for our wedding weekend, Chelsea welcomed us warmly and even helped unload all of our luggage, decorations, etc. She ran a quick and efficient rehearsal with our wedding party and always had a positive and kind demeanor. On the day of the wedding, we did not need to worry about a thing-- Chelsea and the entire team at The Atlantic had it all covered. We had our ceremony on the lawn, our cocktail hour under the tent, and our reception in the upstairs ballroom. It was all absolutely gorgeous. Our guests raved about the food and overall ambience of the venue. We also held a brunch in the upstairs ballroom the day after our wedding, which was delicious and a lovely way to end the weekend. I cannot say a single negative thing about The Atlantic Resort and the amazing staff who work there-- I would recommend this venue to any couple. Our entire wedding weekend was a dream come true!!",

We instantly connected with Elaine and fell in love with the entire venue. Postponing was difficult to do but Elaine made sure we locked in a new date and helped us every step of the way. Our wedding was perfect from the passed apps to the meal itself. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and the atmosphere. The day was stress free and fun! We will remember it forever!",

"content": "I cannot rave enough about the Atlantic Resort. We finally had our big celebration this Saturday and it could not have gone better! We knew this venue was the right spot for us immediately as we were walking around the grounds and the ballroom. Elaine was our main contact and she was AMAZING throughout the entire process. We loved how she was able to help us customize the day and make it unique to our style. She also gave us recommendations for many of our vendors, which were all wonderful. We were a couple that had our plans affected by COVID and the communication throughout the rescheduling process was fantastic.\nWe were incredibly impressed with every single part of our day. Every part of the day was perfectly timed, giving plenty of time to enjoy each part of the day. We actually had it rain on the day of our celebration, so we had to move the renewal ceremony, photos and cocktail hour inside. Despite this last minute change, the staff made sure everything was beautiful. Even though this was not our first choice, everything still exceeded our expectations! They transformed the ballroom to make it beautiful for our ceremony. All of the staff were kind and attentive. Elaine was also wonderful on the day of our event. She was there the entire time, keeping everything organized and moving. She checked in with us throughout the day to ensure that everything was going the way we wanted and make sure we were happy. She also communicated with our other vendors throughout the day making sure everyone was on the same page. The food was also absolutely delicious. Everything came out hot and was so good. All of our guests were so complementary of the staff, venue and food. \nEverything went so perfectly and I cannot thank the Atlantic Resort enough. If you are looking to have a wedding in the Newport area, look no further!",

We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free room upgrade, which was such a generous gesture and made our stay even more enjoyable. The upgraded room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the comforts we needed.\nThe front desk team was friendly and efficient. Every interaction with staff throughout the hotel was professional and warm.\nThe location is convenient, and the property itself was well-maintained and quiet — perfect for a relaxing getaway. They provide reliable shuttle service to and from downtown Newport. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Wyndham Newport to anyone visiting the area!"

Attentive, organized, professional, and kind, Chelsea turned our dream into a reality. She was the star of the event and hands down one of the best coordinators I have ever worked with—we are beyond thankful for her.\n\nThe Wyndham Newport itself was stunning. The staff was amazing, the outdoor spaces dreamy with perfect views, and the ballroom was the ideal setting for our wedding. Everything was beautifully executed, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect.\n\nAnd the food—wow. For our 140-person wedding, about 100 guests chose the surf and turf, and it was phenomenal. Honestly, I was jealous of the other entrées too because every option was to die for. The bar was fantastic, and the cocktail hour was the best I’ve ever experienced.\n\nWe couldn’t recommend a better place to host a wedding. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations and gave us memories we’ll cherish forever."

The food and service were outstanding, and there were always people on staff ready to help with anything that we needed. "reviewText": "I paid $500 a night expecting a premium experience, but what I got was far from acceptable.\n\nFirst, I was placed in a handicapped-accessible room without being told in advance. It was clear the hotel had overbooked and simply pushed me into whatever was left. That’s not just unprofessional — it’s disrespectful. If you don’t have rooms available, don’t keep taking reservations.\n\nWhat made the stay worse was the behavior of some staff. A few waiters were outright dismissive and gave off an uncomfortable, almost discriminatory vibe — as if certain guests didn’t deserve the same courtesy as others. It genuinely felt like wedding parties were the only priority, while regular paying guests were treated as second-class.\n\nFor $500 a night, I expected respect, professionalism, and fairness. Sadly, what I got instead was the opposite. I would not recommend this Wyndham property."
