From the moment we arrived, the vibe of the venue was immaculate – a modern, gilded flair that exuded sophistication and warmth. It truly set the perfect tone for our celebration. The staff at Gardiner House were incredible. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care created a warm, family-like atmosphere that made us and our guests feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our wedding was seamless and stress-free. The rooms at Gardiner House are insanely gorgeous – an interior designer's dream. Each space is beautifully appointed, with luxurious touches and stunning décor that provided a perfect backdrop for our wedding festivities and a comfortable retreat for myself and our guests.\n\nI wholeheartedly recommend The Gardiner House to anyone looking for a Newport/New England getaway or planning a wedding. The venue truly speaks for itself; its beauty, combined with the exceptional service, creates an unforgettable experience.         "content": "Wasn’t able to book here because extremely unresponsive. When I had initially reached out, there was a sales manager named Kelly that was so helpful and was consistently following up with me and checking in as I was still narrowing it down between a few venues. I loved her follow up, so decided to book with Gardiner House. Fast forward a week, I hadn’t received a response and as it turns out after I followed up, she had left Gardiner House and someone else took over for her. Jaclyn and I were able to connect, I asked her a few final questions and said I’d sign the contract as soon as she’d be able to give me answers (they were easy questions like is flat ware and china and glasses included), and she never got back to me. I followed up every day for a week via email and phone, and heard nothing back. I called the front desk and they said she’d been working too. \n\nIt’s really disappointing because I was so excited about Gardiner House. In the process when I was planning to 100% move forward with them, I talked to a couple of wedding coordinators and they gave feedback that other brides they’ve worked with in the past had a very similar experience to mine and those brides had to end up booking elsewhere.\n\nReally unfortunate because this venue looks beautiful, but hopefully management can step in  and fix the issue with the event staff.",

        "reviewText": "The Gardiner House is pure elegance! This boutique hotel is truly full of grace — every corner feels thoughtfully curated with stunning art and a deep sense of history. You can really tell the care that went into it, thanks to owner Howard Gardiner Coushing and the brilliant design work by Company 22 out of Manhattan. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, but it doesn’t stop there — the Studio Bar is pure class, and Flora, located on the second floor, is probably the best restaurant in town. (Definitely make a reservation at least three days in advance — it’s that good!) I can’t recommend the Gardiner House enough; it’s a perfect blend of beauty, sophistication, and comfort"

        "reviewText": "The Gardiner House was the absolute perfect place to stay during our first trip to Newport! The hotel is in a great location- walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. Our room was very cute and clean & the bed was extremely comfortable. The Studio Bar & the views in the Flora restaurant were both a 10/10! Catharine at the front desk was so kind and wonderful. She made us feel right at home and was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to be back!"

You should look it up.\n\nI was there for a  blowout hairstyle service for a Fabulous New Yorker visiting for work.\n\nShe found my business , BEST SALON NEWPORT , online, when she was looking for concierge hair service, such as the service I provide,  and requested me , rather last minute 5:30 pm, , but fortunately I was able to fit her in for 6:30 pm 👍🎉🥂\n\nI’m so glad I was able to. I’ve had a crush on this property for a long time and I was finally able to see it from the inside looking out ,  I had the pleasure of taking care of one of the employees for her baby shower back in June, I believe/ later May she told me some real interesting stuff about the history there that peaked my interest! 😊\n\nSIMPLY FABULOUS!!!! ✨🦄 magical! 💯\n\nThank you for a lovely experience. The place itself has this perfect mix of elegance and comfort that set the mood for the evening.\n\nAt the bar, Tyson took amazing care of us. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever hovering. My friend and I really felt looked after the whole night.\n\nBetween the service, the atmosphere, and just how relaxed and enjoyable everything was, it turned into a really memorable evening. I’d definitely recommend Gardiner House to anyone wanting a special night out."

        "reviewText": "We’ve been to the Studio Bar at the Gardiner House before and always appreciated the well-balanced cocktails and the nice vibes inside. It’s a great spot for a drink especially in the summer time.\n\nOur recent visit on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, was not great. Despite it being a warm summer evening around 8 PM on a Wednesday, we were turned away because one person in our party wore a t-shirt instead of a collared shirt. For a midweek outing in August, that felt unnecessarily rigid and to be honest a little too pretentious. Although we can understand enforcing dress codes on weekend nights this seemed out of touch.\n\nWe ended up at Thames Street Kitchen and Audette instead, both of which did not have strict dress codes. The Studio Bar at the Gardiner House still makes great cocktails, but the hospitality needs to match."
