"content": "We had our wedding at Harbor Lights this summer and absolutely loved it! After looking at many venues, we could not be happier with our decision to go with Harbor lights. It is such a beautiful venue on the water, and in such a great location for guests traveling. We had the pleasure of having Becca as both our planner and day of coordinator. Throughout the planning process, she helped tremendously with strong communication and flexibility to ensure we had our perfect day at an affordable rate! She was very insightful, providing suggestions for some of the decisions that we were uncertain about. The day of the wedding, Becca went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned and was prepared to help with any last minute adjustments. She even sewed the veil back together right before our ceremony, on the spot. Our day could not have gone any better and we are forever grateful to Becca for the role she had in helping make sure our special day was absolutely perfect!",

"content": "We had our wedding reception at Harbor Lights on 10/11/25. It was the best decision we made! It was amazing!! From start to finish, Becca was sooo great to work with! She was so helpful and she really cares about what she does. She was so patient and kind and answered all of our emails even if they were a lot of questions. We couldn't have chosen a better venue. The day of, Becca was there to greet us and she helped us out by transporting us by golf cart for photos. All the staff there was amazing. They did a fantastic job setting up my DIY decor and centerpieces and I was so happy with it. The wait staff was on top of everything and made the day so seamless. I couldn't recommend Harbor Lights more!!!",

"content": "I got married at Harbor Lights this past weekend and it was everything we could've imagined and more. From the start, our coordinator Becca showed so much attention to detail, was so organized and friendly and really helped us to envision our day and make sure it was exactly how we wanted. She was prompt with everything and answered all of my (many) questions throughout the entire process. \nThe venue is stunning and the ceremony space was absolutely perfect, even in November! SO many gorgeous photo spots. \nThe food was amazing and our guests came up to us all night long raving about how it was the best they had had at any wedding. Everything ran so smoothly. The catering staff was so professional and prompt with everything and our bartender Walter was also amazing. \n\nA truly perfect day and I would recommend Harbor Lights to any future couple :) ",

"content": "Harbor Lights is the Perfect Wedding Venue!\n\nWe can’t thank Julia Bush and Harbor Lights staff enough. Our daughter and son in law had their dream wedding there. The views are spectacular, but more importantly, the day—from pre-wedding pictures, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception—ran flawlessly. We met with Julia Bush about a year before the wedding day where she outlined all the options and costs, so there were no surprises and we had a very good idea of the cost. She continued to meet with us and answer our questions leading up to the wedding, with one big meeting 3 months out and another one month out, plus all the other questions and answers in between. We went over every possible detail with her. She made it easy. Then on the wedding day, it was just perfect. Everyone loved the setting, the cocktail hour with the availability of the driving range (a big hit), the reception room, and their meals. It was over before we knew it and so happy we booked there. Highly recommend. ",

Harbor Lights handled every aspect of setup and breakdown seamlessly, without us or our families needing to lift a finger. When I walked into the space for the first time on our wedding day, I was genuinely overwhelmed (in the best way possible) — they had set everything up even more beautifully than I had pictured in my mind. Every table, every decoration, every detail was in place and looked stunning. And at the end of the night, they packed everything up and broke everything down with the same care and attention, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It allowed us to fully enjoy our night without stress.\nThe Staff\nThe waitstaff and on-site team were phenomenal. They were professional, courteous, and incredibly attentive to our guests’ needs. We received so many compliments from friends and family about how kind and efficient the staff was throughout the evening. They kept things running smoothly and made sure everyone was comfortable and happy.\nThe Planning Process\nA massive part of what made this experience so great was working with Becca. From the very beginning, Becca was a dream to work with. She was incredibly patient, kind, and responsive — no matter how many emails, phone calls, or questions I sent her way (and there were a lot), she always got back to me quickly and never once made me feel like a burden. She remained calm and helpful at every turn and even offered suggestions that ultimately made our day even better than we imagined. Her professionalism and warmth were unmatched, and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her guidance.\nThe Venue Itself\nAnd of course, Harbor Lights is absolutely breathtaking. From start to finish, Becca, the wedding coordinator, went absolutely above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Throughout the planning process and especially on the big day, she was so organized, positive, and helpful. She made us feel completely at ease and ensured that every detail was exactly how we envisioned it.\n\nThe venue itself was stunning and so versatile. We loved having cocktail hour both indoors and outside. It gave guests room to mingle, grab a drink, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We even had the driving range open during cocktail hour which was such a fun touch, and a Del’s truck on site that our guests loved!\n\nThe food was amazing! Not only was dinner delicious, but we also did a late-night snack which was a huge hit. We also got tons of compliments about how great the bartenders were. Everything about the day flowed so smoothly, and we’re so grateful to the whole team for making it feel effortless and joyful. Highly recommend!",

The day went off without a hitch and there were no problems. Throughout the whole process Julia was responsive and incredibly helpful. We got everything we needed and all our requests were met. The team here is truly professional and even when the ceremony had to be moved for rain it turned out perfectly. The food was great and we were so impressed with the service. I’d recommend anyone to have their wedding here!",

The planning process was long but smooth and Becca walked me through everything up until the day-of, when I felt taken care of, heard, and valued. I felt like how a bride should! My dad, who is a huge foodie, still raves about the food (especially the steak meal and the chicken taco appetizers!). "content": "We booked with Harbor Lights in November of 2022 for an October of 2024 wedding. Initially upon booking, we fell in absolute awe with the venue, the property and the wonderful staff we met. We couldn’t wait for our 2024 wedding. We went in for our food tasting in January of 2024 and noticed that the food items appeared a bit, different. We were provided with an updated “wedding packages” booklet, completely different than what we initially signed up for. The bar package that we originally were set on was completely gone and we were in total crisis mode, very unhappy with the lack of communication and the unexpected change to our special day. Then, we met Becca. Becca was the day of coordinator that worked with us upon changing ownership and I honestly couldn’t have been happier, she is truly phenomenal. She was understanding to my frustrations, willing to work with us and honor specific price points, patient with my million questions and very knowledgeable, organized and quite hysterical, I may add. I definitely wouldn’t have had the same experience if it weren’t for her and my husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at Harbor Lights. ",

"content": "What can I say about the best day of our lives at this gorgeous venue??? Magic, perfection and filled with beauty and love.\nIt is the perfect venue for anyone looking to have a beautiful, outdoor ceremony but still have an outstanding ballroom to party in after. Cocktail hour was also perfect\nbecause guests can relax outside with views of their beautiful grounds, we had Cornhole set up as well and a cigar area for those who love to celebrate with a smoke.\nThe food is amazing ... I did not get some of our late night nachos from dancing too hard 😂 but our guests absolutely raved about them.\n\nNow the staff.. bartenders and wait staff were phenomenal (only suggestion I have would be to make sure a knife is readily available to cut the cake as we waited awkwardly for that for 5 mins with guests staring at us and my DJ had to find someone to get it for us)\n\nNow, the coordinators...Becca and Julia I can't express how much of an understatement it is to say they were amazing.\nAbout a month and a half out from our wedding, the coordinator Maxine we had worked with for the whole year or so leading up to our day, had left abruptly. Now this does not reflect Harbor Lights at all , it is just part of the industry. (so don't panic if it happens to you.) Obviously it's frustrating wondering if all your preferences and details will be relayed correctly to whoever takes over... But let me tell you, Becca took over seamlessly. We had our final details meeting which she was so prepared for and answered every single question before I even had to ask it... She spoke in such a calming way that reassured all of our concerns and she knew what she was talking about.... Julia who assisted with our rehearsal and day of logistics with our vendors, was also fantastic and sweet!\n\nI truly only have one complaint And it is minor and did not taint anything for us but I feel it is important so that maybe it goes differently for another bride ..\nNow, I will take ownership in the fact that I am a slightly neurotic, punctual bride🙃 We had a 5:00 rehearsal and I arrived at the venue 20 minutes early and it looked like there was another wedding rehearsal gathering right near the arbor we were getting married at. I started to get a little stressed out and confused thinking there was a mistake as there wasn't really any direction on what to do when we arrived. Becca came out and told me our rehearsal was going to be done in front of the par and tackle with Julia. 5:00 came around and I had to ask the host at the par and tackle if she could assist in finding Julia which she did and Julia came right out , she was lovely And we chatted about how I would really like to do my rehearsal where I'm actually getting married. So we waited for the other rehearsal to be done and went over and everything went great even running through it just one time.\nAs I said ,this is minor but I definitely think there could have been more communication with the rehearsal \nBut truly that is the only \"negative\" I have because I seriously can't express how perfect our day was. All of our guests said it was the most beautiful venue and it was such an amazing wedding all around. This is exactly what you want to hear when you put your blood, sweat and tears into a wedding. This is definitely an A+ venue. With outstanding staff and amazing food and drinks. Book it!",

"content": "Having grown up in Rhode Island, we were searching for a venue in RI that gave the classic Ocean State wedding feel to it. And Harbor Lights was the perfect spot for just that. It has the grassy green lawn, with white chairs leading up to a wooden arch that overlooks the bay. It was exactly what we pictured. While there were some overall changes and changes in staff under new management, Becca did such a fantastic job and we are so appreciative! She made sure everything not only went according to plan, but did so smoothly. I could not have pictured a more perfect wedding. It was the best day and the best place for a Rhode Island wedding. ",

"content": "We truly had the most beautiful wedding thanks to Harbor Lights. We planned our wedding from 11 1/2 hours away out of state, and their staff made it so easy for us. I even booked every single vendor off their recommended list, which was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Every setting they provided was beautiful, and our guests RAVED about the food and speciality drinks (specifically the Apple Cider Margarita!). With a November wedding, I was stressed about the weather, and didn't need to make a decision until that morning- the staff didn't pressure us at all one way or the other. We ended up having our ceremony outside in 55 degree weather, and it was perfect!",

Everything ran smoothly, the service was exceptional, the food delicious. Our guests raved about the food!\n\nThe scenery for our pictures were beautiful. From the docks on the ocean to the barn by the pond, everything is there. \n\nI considered hiring a day of coordinator but am glad I didn't because Maxine took care of everything. The entire day ran on schedule. What's more, she assisted through the entire event planning process. She always returned my calls/emails in a timely manner and addressed my questions and shared really great ideas with me. \n\nI was not disappointed and am so happy I had my wedding there!",

"content": "Every single second from start to finish of planning our big day truly was in partnership with Maxine and her staff. From the second we stepped on property we felt like no one else in the world mattered but us in that moment. Maxine gave us an in depth tour of the grounds, discussed menu options, arrangements for ceremony, and answered my millions of questions. We had family from out of town a few times throughout the time of making Harbor Lights are venue selection and each time she took our special people on a tour without hesitation. \n\nThe day of my wedding, and every day leading up I didn't have any feelings of anxiety or worry that something wouldn't be set up right or I would be missing something. My bridal suite was stocked with some of my favorite beverages to enjoy before my ceremony, the golf carts were there and ready to whisk us away to take pictures, and SHE MADE SURE my husband didn't see me a second before our first look. \n\nThe evening was absolutely perfect, our cocktail hour was set up far beyond my expectations and was truly beautiful. The team at Harbor Lights has a wonderful eye for decor, the way things should be placed, etc. It all just came together so seamless. \n\nWe are excited to continue to visit Harbor Lights during the spring/summer months for food/beverages at par & tackle and to continue to be reminded on how beautiful of special day was. ",

Our wedding day is something we will never forget because of the time and energy the staff put into making sure every detail was exactly how we envisioned it! The food came out hot, on time, and tested delicious. Would highly recommend adding the pasta and intermezzo course to your dinner! The ball room was spacious and inviting, the water view can’t be beat, and the added outdoor activities are “on par”! We received comments on our photos comparing harbor lights to ocean cliff in Newport! This venue is above and beyond amazing and would highly recommend this for any one getting married in the fall!!",

"content": "Harbor Lights is such a beautiful venue and was perfect for our wedding. We were fortunate enough to have food weather and their venue location kept us cool in the summer heat. They had super helpful staff and the location was perfect for photo opportunities! \n\nWhere the ceremony was beautiful being off the water was great. The driving range for the happy hour was a perfect idea and everyone had a blast! \n\nThe bar inside was very nice and the staff made sure all of our decorations were out and seen. It was a really fun cocktail hour with a lot of good finger foods (lobster mac and cheese was a hit) and good service. They accommodated the live music we had perfectly as well. \n\nThe food was delicious. We had the chicken and steak meals, and our guests who had the steak said it was very tender and delicious.\n\nAll 110 quests, including those with meal accommodation changes, were served dinner quickly and we got a lot of compliments on the food. The drinks were incredible and the bar service was fast. We did an open bar and champagne toast. \nIf you’re looking for a good spot to get married near the water with the friendliest of staff, I would book here! Thank you again!",

The staff, specifically Sabrina and Maxine who helped us with coordinating our wedding, were helpful, responsive, and organized. They answered all of our questions as the wedding approached and ensured that all the small details were in place. The venue itself is stunning inside and out. Our ceremony was outside and our guests loved the view of the Narragansett bay and the marina. The inside ballroom is meticulously maintained and the floorplan is perfect for medium to big sized weddings. ",

We wanted an ocean view with a clean, modern feel that wouldn't break the bank and we knew Harbor Lights was the one as soon as we got there. From the beautiful views to the bright ballroom area, this venue has a lot of bang for its buck. We loved working with Maxine and her team, they were seasoned pros who know weddings and made things so much easier than we anticipated!\n\nUnfortunately on the day of our wedding, it down poured. One of the deciding factors in finding our venue was having a rain back-up plan that was foolproof. Without hesitation, Maxine and her team did everything in their power to make the ballroom look stunning and then flipped the room seamlessly for our reception. \n\nMaxine and team also took all our very modest decor and decorated the guest tables, welcome table, sweetheart table, dessert table and more to absolute perfection! The venue truly had it all from chiavari chairs, catering packages, a golf, and more. The food was very good and we were even able to bring our own dessert from a favorite bakery! The servers were wonderful, especially Sarah, and always made sure we had everything we needed. We also loved the wedding party suites that gave our groomsmen and bridesmaids a private place to store things and for us to sneak away and have some time to ourselves during the night. Although we didn't have the waterfront ceremony of our dreams, we still couldn't imagine a better wedding venue. Thank you to all of the staff at Harbor Lights! ",

"content": "This venue is beautiful and amazing, and is capable of throwing the best party you could ever want, no matter how big or small. The food was also fantastic, and they do a great job with allergies as well!\n\nWhat really sets Harbor Lights apart, though, are the people working there. We worked with Tie at the start of our engagement, and then Brigh as we headed down the home stretch to our wedding date and they were both amazing. Brigh managed the day perfectly, kept us calm and having fun, and got us where we needed to be all night seamlessly. She was easy to get a hold of, and managed all of our special/last minute questions and requests with a friendly attitude and can-do spirit. She and the entire team at Harbor Lights played an enormous role in making sure that our wedding was everything we had ever imagined and more. We couldn't recommend this venue highly enough!",

We mainly worked with Tie, and she was fantastic with keeping track of all the details and promptly responding to any questions or concerns we had. Her constant positivity and attention to detail ensured that we enjoyed our wedding day without worry. Our guests raved about the hors d’oeuvres and enjoyed their meals. The rooms and the patio were set up perfectly and everyone loved being able to use the driving range during our cocktail hour. We would definitely recommend having your wedding at Harbor Lights!",

"content": "I really have to say Harbor Lights was a perfect venue and we are so happy we chose it. We got endless compliments from guests and it was just so easy. It's a one-stop shop with a beautiful space, great food and lots to offer. It's obvious that they know weddings. Our coordinator was Maxine and I can't say enough good things about her. She was bubbly and positive and accommodating in every single interaction we had with her - which was many! She was so patient and never made me feel like a bridezilla (even though I think I was). The staff was just outstanding, when I walked into our reception room on our wedding day I started crying because it was just perfect. They nailed it. The driving range was a fun memorable detail and the patio area was so perfect for our cigar bar with the fire pit. I can't say anything negative and I'm a really tough critic. What we got for the price we paid felt like a lot and I think they offered the best value of all the venues we looked at. Maxine was super helpful about letting us add on or customize our package. I'm a psycho about crunching numbers and there were no surprises when it came time to pay the final bill, which is a nightmare I've heard many of my friends have had to deal with at other venues. We of course had covid affect some of our guests the week and even day of the wedding, which Maxine made a non-issue, there was no stress with last minute changes to our guest count.",

"content": "After touring 8 venues in Rhode Island, the second we stepped into Harbor Lights we knew this was it. My husband was FaceTimed in to the first tour and Tie was the first person that spoke to him throughout the process. She truly saw our vision and was so accommodating throughout the process. I can't say enough great things to really express how much I loved working with her (and Maxine day of!) and how they really allowed me to take off my \"planning\" hat and enjoy our day. Even my family felt so comfortable with them and it just makes so much of a difference. The food was incredible and I truly wish I could attend another HL wedding just so I can eat it again! And the property itself is stunning - I couldn't believe that this was actually within my budget. And another cool part was that they told us to bring in any decor and they would find ways to incorporate it - and let me tell you, they made it perfect. There's a ton of positive reviews on HL, but I can tell you that there is a reason for that. I am a Type-A spreadsheet kind of bride and they really made our day completely perfect. Thank you to Tie, Maxine, and everyone else who made our Happily Ever After a joyous occasion!",

When then hit the pandemic and unfortunately had to l or our wedding date from 2021 to May of 2022, Tie Cole was nothing short of amazing during this usually stressful situation. \nAny time we had a question or concern she responded in a almost instant email. Tie Was truly the most amazing, kind hearted and helpful coordinator! The day of was smooth even though we had a few hiccups all thanks to Tie and her assistant Brie! Can’t forget the food, cook to it’s best flavor and tender! If your looking for a water front, with amazing customer service and phenomenal food Harbor Lights is the place to go!",

Tie and Maxine were ROCKSTARS when it came to coordinating our wedding. They went above and beyond to make our special day so PERFECT! I think Tie saw my vision before I even did. We ended up having our rehearsal dinner there too - definitely recommend doing this if you get married there. The whole day just went so smoothly. The food was amazing, I wish I could eat there on the daily! It truly was a dream come true! Best wedding venue in RI by far!",

"content": "Our wedding was perfectly implemented from start to finish. Our wedding coordinator, Tie was awesome and my wedding party also loved her. She was very attentive and did everything to make sure the day was perfect and stress free for us-she even had a cooler of beer for our bridal party during pictures and helped with our photos. They also brought us food in our bridal suite before doing introductions into the reception. I loved Tie and my guests couldn’t stop raving about how much fun they had/how good the food was/how beautiful the venue was. The only feedback I could give is that guests said the hors d’oeuvres came out slow during cocktail hour and weren’t evenly dispersed between inside/outside. Personally, this does not matter to me and everyone said that the food was delicious. Huge thank you to Harbor Lights for a great night!!",

"content": "This is going to be a very mixed review. Harbor lights is a wonderful venue. I was very impressed with their service with wedding coordinator Tie until Tie was no longer available for an unknown reason and we were given a new lady- Eli. I cannot begin to even explain how horrible and unprofessional this woman was. The most disorganized woman I have ever worked with. She continued to get our information wrong over and over- all in writing. She forgot to lock the door and has guests see me before the wedding in my dress, had my hide in the COAT CLOSET with my dad as she tried to fix the error. My mom continually had to make her own paperwork for Eli and actually sent it to Eli to use for us- as Eli’s were always wrong and totally unorganized. It was raining on the wedding day and I asked Eli where we could take photos inside after the ceremony and her response was I don’t know. So my photographer and I found a spot together. I’ve been trying to get my deposit back for a month- and everytime I ask her where it was mailed and when she writes back something different and doesn’t even answer my question. If you go to harbor lights- do yourself a favor and do NOT have Eli as your wedding coordinator. I cried too many tears over the stress of having her.",

There are so many stunning spots on property and the room is also gorgeous. We mainly worked with Tie throughout our experience and she was phenomenal. She was always quick to respond and was always on top of her game. Due to COVID we had to reschedule our wedding for a year later and she made that transition seamless. On the day of the wedding we worked with Kate and she was also excellent. Every single person I talked to the day of my wedding (wait staff, bartender, etc) were amazing! The food was incredible and I got so many compliments from guests about it! I would absolutely recommend Harbor Lights.",

"content": "Harbor lights was the easiest and best decision when picking our wedding venue. \nFrom the first day walking around and seeing how beautiful it is to then sitting down with Tie to discuss the options she made it so fun and enjoyable.\nWe booked right before covid hit for April 2021. I had so many questions this past year, while Tie was dealing with plenty of other couples she always answered all questions quickly and made it less stressful.\nThe day before our wedding we met with Lauren to drop off and she was the absolute best to work with that day and day of wedding. Lauren and Tie handled everything perfectly and so beautifully. \nThe ENTIRE staff working the wedding was incredible. And the food was unbelievable!\n\n10/10 recommend Harbor Lights for anyone looking for a beautiful wedding with the best staff!!",

She made me comfortable, she was like a family member. The manager was kind and sweet and complimented me often. The venue was beautiful! Simple, clean and pretty. The view is gorgeous. For dinner I had the beef tenderloin and wow, delicious! We loved every minute there.",

The staff was so professional and actually looked happy at our wedding and was extremely responsive to our guests needs throughout the night. The food was amazing! We have had multiple people tell us it was the best meal they have ever eaten at a wedding. Tie & the venue truthfully go above and beyond for their couples and do everything in their power to make sure you have the best wedding of your dreams. When we came in from photos, Tie made sure we each had food brought to us and drinks of our choice. I highly recommend this venue. They are beyond professional and responsive throughout the planning process and the day of your wedding. Thank you for everything!! ",

"content": "Got married 4 days ago at Harbor Lights and it was beyond amazing. Not only is the property itself GORGEOUS, the staff at Harbor Lights went above and beyond. Dealing with Tie was always a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Anytime I had a question or concern she would answer me quickly and help me in any way she could. She is the best at her job!!!! I could go on and on about how amazing Harbor Lights is but I’ll leave it with I would recommend to every bride out there looking for their dream venue! 10/10! ",

I emailed Tie and told her that I was looking for a small wedding ceremony and a venue, and she responded right away that they have a mini package that is perfect for what I'm looking for. She was very accommodating from the very beginning until our wedding day. It ended up raining on our day but she made sure that everything is perfect. She worked so hard to make our wedding day extra special. Our guests loved the food and the raspberry lemon cake! I would highly recommend Harbor Lights and Tie is the best!",

From the start, our coordinator Becca showed so much attention to detail, was so organized and friendly and really helped us to envision our day and make sure it was exactly how we wanted. She was prompt with everything and answered all of my (many) questions throughout the entire process.\nThe venue is stunning and the ceremony space was absolutely perfect, even in November! SO many gorgeous photo spots.\nThe food was amazing and our guests came up to us all night long raving about how it was the best they had had at any wedding. Everything ran so smoothly. The catering staff was so professional and prompt with everything and our bartender Walter was also amazing.\n\nA truly perfect day and I would recommend Harbor Lights to any future couple :)"

"reviewText": "Harbor Lights is the Perfect Wedding Venue!\n\nWe can’t thank Julia Bush and Harbor Lights staff enough. Our daughter and son in law had their dream wedding there. The views are spectacular, but more importantly, the day—from pre-wedding pictures, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception—ran flawlessly. We met with Julia Bush about a year before the wedding day where she outlined all the options and costs, so there were no surprises and we had a very good idea of the cost. She continued to meet with us and answer our questions leading up to the wedding, with one big meeting 3 months out and another one month out, plus all the other questions and answers in between. We went over every possible detail with her. She made it easy. Then on the wedding day, it was just perfect. Everyone loved the setting, the cocktail hour with the availability of the driving range (a big hit), the reception room, and their meals. It was over before we knew it and so happy we booked there. Highly recommend."

"reviewText": "We went to the Par and Tackle to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary for dinner and we had a wonderful time. Lydia was a great server and helped us without any hesitation to our menu questions. The chowder was thick and creamy, and the Chicken skin chips with artichokes were amazing ( I've never liked artichokes until now ). The herb crusted sirloin was cooked perfectly, the salmon was very tasty but I found it a bit dry and tough to chew. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse cake and it was INCREDIBLE. Our neice is having her wedding reception in the Dining Event Area and I'm sure she won't be disappointed. ( Hope she picks the chocolate mousse cake)"
