The venue’s unique spaces added so much character, and the cocktail hour (complete with bowling!) was a standout favorite. The food was another win—delicious and memorable for everyone.\n\nWhile a few staff changes early on gave us pause, the team who supported us during final prep and on the big day truly exceeded expectations. They coordinated seamlessly with our vendors, kept everything running smoothly and on time, and made sure we felt cared for from start to finish. They even jumped in to help with setup and some last-minute signage—above and beyond what we ever expected from a venue team.\n\nWe’re so glad we chose Hope Events on Main. It offered a fun, distinctive atmosphere backed by a team that was professional, proactive, and genuinely invested in making our day amazing.",

The three spaces - the ceremony room, the bowling alley where we had a cocktail hour, and the reception room. As a sucker for a sense of place, I loved getting married in a mill building with all of the high ceilings and patinated wood. Their food was great, and the overall value was excellent - we got more, and for less, than the other venues we considered.\n\nLauren and her team went above and beyond from start to finish and were consummately professional and communicative. We really felt taken care of.\n\nI couldn't recommend Hope Events on Main more highly.",

Once the event manager changed hands to Lauren, everything was amazing! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how much they loved the industrial feel of the space. Bowling during cocktail hour was a hit. The ceremony space was nothing short of jaw dropping. The food was amazing too! Perfect venue all around for 100 guests or more.         "content": "\n\nHope events was such a stunning venue, we got countless compliments on the difference spaces and how much fun everything was. We rented 3 spaces for our March 2025 wedding, one being the breakdown bowling bar which was a MASSIVE hit! And was something everyone enjoyed so so much. Every photo in every rented space was stunning and was a dream. While the venue was absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking to get married in a more industrial looking setting I will be honest and say the day wasn’t without some hitches. First I would like to HIGHLY recommend and notify you that if you do use this venue you will need to hire or request the help of friends/ family to decorate the spaces how you desire. The day of coordination only sets up the tables, chairs and the basic linens that you rent from them. Any other signs, candles, florals etc will have to be set up by you. This wasn’t the end of the world for me but it should definitely be of consideration when you book. I would also like to recommend the possibility of hiring your own outside coordinator while the coordinators were so kind and did the best they can to ensure things went well, there was definitely a lack of communication with regards to how everything will/ should be run. It was with the help of 2 friends that our day was able to run as smooth as possible and my wishes were able to come to fruition. The largest thing that I would emphasize with this venue is the fact that up until the scheduled wedding it is a PUBLIC space. So there were many random people looking around and in all the different spaces. We were hugely disappointed when a family was touring the venue just moments before our ceremony and just mere seconds after my first look with my father. I did bring this up to the venue was I was extremely disappointed in the fact that this was something that occurred. They were remorseful and stated they will attempt to be more observant of these things so that other couples don’t have to have people invading their intimate moments. There were some hiccups as with every wedding but our day was so perfect regardless. I would highly recommend this venue! The food was fantastic as well! I can’t forget to mention that. The hors d’oeuvres were delicious and highly enjoyed as well as the cantina station/ pasta bar and salad! We loved the food and enjoyed it very much! ",

One of the most important things for us in planning was dinner - we were tired of boiled vegetables and dry chicken at every wedding and wanted something more “us”. Hope had tons of options and they worked with us seamlessly for our guests with allergies. Even though we worked with two different event planners (change of staff a month or two before our wedding) which could have been stressful, Lauren is AMAZING - a sweetheart, quick with emails, and super helpful. All the staff was great (shoutout Maureen at the bar for helping us out the day before!) and we as well as our guests had a perfect day. ",

        "content": "I had an amazing wedding day at Hope Events on Main. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all set up beautifully without issue. \n\nLauren was a great event planner. She stayed in continuous contact with me leading up to and when necessary during the wedding. She was very attentive and checked on me throughout to make sure I had everything I wanted.\n\nMy guests all loved the bowling alley as a unique cocktail hour experience that you cannot get at other venues. \n\nMy only advice in booking this venue is to make sure that if you choose the hallway for the ceremony, make sure all belongings are taken from that area. I forgot about two floral arrangements in the ceremony hallway space, and one arrangement was stolen. The building is public with other businesses in it, and once the ceremony is complete, that space is not secured, so it is not the venue's fault this happened. I knew it was my responsibility to move the arrangements, but had forgotten in the excitement of the day. The venue also has another more private and new ceremony space where this would likely not occur there. \n\nOverall, I would absolutely recommend. I had a great time. I would host other event types at this location. ",

        "content": "We got married 3/18/2023. Then venue itself is BEAUTIFUL! We got so many compliments from guests about how fun the bowling for cocktail hour was and how unique the location was. This venue is reasonably priced, but decor definitely added up to the overall cost. I did not get warm and fuzzy vibes from the “coordinator” (the person who you book with and work with until the day of). She did not answer emails on a timely fashion, until I pointed it out and she was very prompt after I mentioned it. Day of the wedding we were setting up in the reception space and she was giving tours. She did not acknowledge my presence as her and her visitors walked right in the middle of me setting up my decor. Some of the people touring then proceeded to carefully assess all my decorations, which I really did not appreciate. The coordinator (again not the day of coordinator- ally was GREAT) then told my bridesmaid she would hang a sign that gave directions to my guests (it is a HUGE space) and she did not. She put the sign down on the bar and left it there. This woman was very difficult to work with and I really do get along with just about anyone. Ally, the day of coordinator was LOVELY. I was very grateful to have her. The staff that worked the day or the wedding were also great!! The food was very good- especially the late night pizza! Overall, I am happy we chose to get married here but want to warn other brides about the booking coordinator. Be cautious if you plan to get married here that she can be difficult but it is worth pushing through!! ",

        "content": "We got married at Breaktime Bowl and Bar, another venue operated by Hope Events on Main in Hope Artiste Village. This vintage bowling alley was perfect for both our ceremony and reception. The space is unique and already has plenty of character, so we didn't need to spend a lot of time thinking about how to decorate the space to be ours. In addition to providing a beautiful location for us, it also came with duckpin bowling as a reception activity with human pinsetters. Our guests loved being able to bowl as part of our reception. \nAllie, the event coordinator we worked with, was great from our first interaction. She answered all of our questions in a timely fashion and was on hand during our wedding. The rest of the staff, from the bartender to the pinsetters, were wonderful and clearly wanted us and our guests to have a great time. \nAs part of using this venue, catering and the bar were in-house services. The food, drinks, and service for all were great.\nThe only thing I wish we had done differently with the venue is booked it for a longer event!",

        "reviewText": "This hidden gem is amazing! My wife had my 50th birthday party here and everything was perfect. The beautiful venue, staff, and food was great! We had about 90 guests and there was so much room. The staff was so accommodating and very polite. I highly recommended having any event here."

The staff was very helpful and accommodating and made sure our entire night went smoothly. We did catering through the venue and it was delicious! I’d fully recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique wedding experience."

        "reviewText": "We had the best night of our lives and wouldn’t pick a different venue if we did it all over again. Our guests loved the venue, especially the bowling at cocktail hour, and having everything in one building was huge for us. The point of this review isn’t to steer couples away from getting married here, but to give you some tips if you do decide to have your special day at Hope Events.\n\n1. Hire experienced professionals- our photographer and DJ were true seasoned professionals and I don’t think our day would have gone as smooth without them.\n2. Don’t rely on the venue staff “coordinator”. We didn’t meet our “day of coordinator” until literally the day of. He shook my hand on wedding day as I was coming out of the elevator during pre ceremony photos. They promised he would be at our one month meeting and rehearsal and he wasn’t - with no prior notice given either.\n3. Staffing turnover is real. We didn’t have a consistent point of contact from our initial viewing to wedding day. At times leading up to our wedding, we experienced delays in responses to our emails which made for some stressful planning.\n4. We opted to not hire a coordinator, relying only on the venue staff and our vendors (thank goodness for our vendors). If I did it again, I would hire a true coordinator. The venue staff was not professional and forgot many details (review all of your invoices, notes, timelines). I thought the final pain point would be a staff member, who we met with in person, the day before our wedding suggesting a table in the reception room was ready for our buffet - we didn’t not have a buffet meal and had reminded them of this multiple times prior. Consistently spelling the groom’s name wrong, asking me for our table assignments when I sent them days before, suggesting the bar wouldn’t open until after our first dance, which was something we had already gone over in multiple emails and meetings prior. The real kicker was when we were taking pre ceremony photos in the ceremony room and guests started wandering in and the venue staff was no where to be found. The added stress was not fun.\n5. DO NOT let the venue staff brush off what meals will be served to your guests with dietary restrictions as “whatever chef prepares that day”. I am still embarrassed by what was served to our vegetarian and gluten free family members. It looked like something you would make yourself in college after stumbling home from the bar at 2am. Make sure you get a straight answer ahead of time. The food served to the rests of our guests was solid and guests seemed to enjoy their meals and hours devours at cocktail hour.\n6. Have a plan for the end of the night. I am so thankful the venue let us set up the day before - that was a huge help! But we had to have everything out of the building at the end of the night and it was stressful. The “coordinator” at the end of the night asked me, the bride, as I’m throwing things in boxes, “how was your night” to which I responded, “this part sucks” and instead of offering help he said “it always does”. They eventually gave in and let us store some stuff overnight but it would have been nice to plan for that if it was always an option.\n\nOverall, our night went amazingly and there are a lot of great, unique things about Hope Events that made our special day great. You can certainly have an incredible wedding here as we did. But knowing some of the pitfalls of the venue will help."
