  "description": "IYRS School of Technology & Trades (formerly known as the International Yacht Restoration School) is a most unique waterfront venue in Newport, Rhode Island. It sits directly on Newport Harbor and offers stunning views and a truly authentic nautical feel. In the summer, mega yachts line the nearby wharves, creating an impressive backdrop for your event. Historic Restoration Hall offers soaring ceilings, beautiful windows, and the rustic feel of our wooden boatbuilding shop. Just outside the doors of Restoration Hall lies the beautiful IYRS Wharf, offering panoramic views of Newport Harbor and the iconic Newport Pell Bridge. This wharf serves as your canvas, ready to transform into a space for pre-event cocktails, dinner and dancing beneath an elegant tent, capturing timeless wedding photographs, or hosting your heartfelt ceremony.   Restoration Hall can accommodate around 350 guests for a cocktail-style event or around 250 for a seated dinner. The IYRS Wharf can accommodate around 500 for a cocktail-style event, and around 450 for a seated dinner (depending on tent size). Rental of Restoration Hall includes use of the IYRS Wharf. The IYRS Wharf is also available for rental without Restoration Hall. The fee is for the space only and does not include tent or rentals. IYRS does not provide any event staff or services.
