Facilities and Capacity The Resort can provide splendid choices for either indoor or outdoor wedding ceremonies with a minimum of 75 guests. Indoors, the Lighthouse Gallery, refurbished in 2019, can host up to 200 seated guests for a ceremony or reception. Outdoors, couples can be married on the terrace or at Compass Rose, which has panoramic views of sunsets over the Long Island Sound. Services Offered Wedding events that can be hosted at the Inn include engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. All-inclusive packages cover your wedding needs, from get-ready rooms to audio-visual equipment. The experienced staff will readily assist you with event planning while coordinating with outside vendors. On-site parking is present as standard, while valeting and wheelchair-accessibility services are also available. Cuisine The guiding belief behind the cuisine at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina is to source food locally and grow herbs on-site. With a solid commitment to seasonal ingredients and local artisans, the distinction manifests in the menu, the taste, and the atmosphere. Their award-winning chefs will craft custom menus for you following your wedding vision and the season. The tempting meals in your wedding feast can be readily paired with pours of wine and beer from the local area. With options for an espresso bar and coffee station, you and your guests will have food and beverages to savor. "content": "I can't say enough good things about Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. We found this venue early in our wedding planning process through The Knot, and from the moment we met the wedding coordinators, we felt welcomed and unpressured. The entire experience from our initial tour to our wedding day was exceptional.\n\nOur coordinators, Abbey and Meredith, were flawless throughout the entire process. They paid meticulous attention to both the major and minor details, making sure everything went off without a hitch. Abbey was especially communicative, always responding to our emails and calls promptly, and checking in with us throughout the entire wedding weekend. My husband and I, along with our families, spent Thursday through Sunday on the property, and from start to finish, we were greeted by the friendly staff with warm wishes and congratulations. It was such a personalized experience – we truly felt like royalty.\n\nThe venue itself is breathtaking, and the ambiance is second to none. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by Vincent, an enthusiastic bellhop who is always ready to assist. Depending on the season, the lobby is warmed by a real working fireplace, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. What stood out to us was how transparent and low-pressure the initial booking process was. There was no talk of budget or pricing right away; instead, we were simply introduced to the beautiful space and the incredible services offered. The wedding packages are all-inclusive, with alcohol and food included in the price, and they even offer two wonderful vendors for your wedding cake. We chose Cakes by Donna, who created an absolutely stunning cake for us.\n\nThroughout the entire process, Saybrook Point Inn made us feel like we were the only couple that mattered. We had such a wonderful experience, and I tell all of my friends and family looking for wedding venues to absolutely consider Saybrook Point Inn. Located in the charming town of Old Saybrook, it’s hard to believe this hidden gem is in Connecticut.\n\nI give Saybrook Point Inn a five-star review without hesitation and can’t express enough how great they were in making our wedding weekend unforgettable.",

"content": "My husband and I married and had our cocktail hour and reception at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina. I couldn’t speak highly enough about how much we enjoyed our experience and loved our wedding here. Meredith and Abbey were incredibly helpful and easy to work with, answering every question and guiding us every step of the way in planning a wedding perfect for us. It is a beautiful space, indoor and out, which made selecting this venue easier not knowing how the weather could be on event day. The food is excellent, which was another priority in venue selection. A cherry on top was the inclusion of two nights at the inn for me and my husband the nights before and after our wedding. It was a lovely suite with ample space to prep for the Big Day and relax afterwards. Every member of the staff from events and catering to front desk and restaurant was friendly and attentive. We felt comfortable and confident having such an important occasion at this wonderful venue. I am forever grateful that we chose Saybrook Point for a day we won’t forget! ",

"content": "We were blessed to get married here on 10/05/2025 and could not be happier with our venue decision. Saybrook Point Resort was the absolute best! They truly made our wedding a dream come true and the most perfect day. Abbey, Meredith, and their whole team were incredibly accommodating and supportive following family medical issues and having to make a quick date change. They gave us the best experience from letting us still attend a tasting to organizing the most perfect rehearsal dinner and wedding, both onsite in under two months of planning. Everything from the food and drinks, beautiful hotel rooms, to a supportive hug before walking down the aisle, we could not have asked for a better team to give us our dream wedding weekend. It was truly perfect all around, and we cannot thank the team enough for everything they did for us. All of our guests absolutely loved the beautiful venue and amazing food, and will continue to compliment it for years going forward. It was truly picture perfect! We are incredibly blessed and thankful to have had our wedding at Saybrook, and we cannot wait to go back and visit! "content": "Working the Abbey and the team at Saybrook Point was an incredible experience. I cannot say enough good things about how well we were taken care of. They walked us through the entire process and were constantly available for any questions. I called Abbey so many times and she was always available to answer and talk through anything that had come up. Additionally, their food and beverage team went above and beyond. They were able to customize everything. We wanted a touch of Greek food for my family, they did Greek salads and spanakopita. \nThe real highlight was the cocktail hour food. Their harvest table for cheese and the raw bar were incredible. They had a bridal attendant that made sure I was well fed even as a socializing bride. Our guests had the best time. We had a mariachi band for cocktail hour and everything was set and ready when we got there. We honestly just had to tell their team how we wanted things and they handled the rest. I was a bride that did not want to have to stress about the details the weekend of the event and I truly was able to relax and have so much fun. I would highly recommend this venue to any new brides. It was beautiful, seamless, the food was delicious, and we were so well attended to.",

She was consistently responsive and thorough with ALL of the questions we had. Despite the freezing temperatures on our wedding day, the indoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful, thanks to the staff at Saybrook Point. The banquet manager and my bridal attendant were also fantastic and attentive to ensure the event was perfect. We had our wedding party stay at Tall Tales and Three Stories guest houses, they are AMAZING! Our friends won’t stop talking about them. Well worth the price. The rooms inside the hotel are absolutely gorgeous. Food was fantastic, they were accommodating to allergies and children meals. I can’t say enough about how great this venue is! Highly recommend! ",

The venue is gorgeous, the food is phenomenal, and everyone we had the pleasure of working with there was delightful. \n\nOur onsite coordinator, Abbey, was incredibly supportive, responsive, and organized throughout the entire planning process. From every interaction I had with her, I knew I could trust her to handle and execute every detail of our vision for the big day, and she did a stellar job. Her assistant, Rebecca, was also a huge help on our wedding day and I'm especially grateful for how she directed my detailed music timing during the ceremony. \n\nWe adored all of the staff we worked with at Saybrook Point. They made sure that my dad had accessible transportation for all wedding events, handled all of our guests' questions, and ensured that our bridal party was well taken care of throughout the weekend. We got married there at the end of October on the marina for our ceremony, had our cocktail hour in the Pergola room/Patio, and our reception in the Lighthouse Gallery. It is not only a beautiful venue on its own, but the details and accommodations were executed flawlessly. Working with Abbey and her team was great from start to finish - they were reliable coordinating with all of our vendors, and flexible in creating and executing a day built for our dreams. The comments about the food were endlessly positive too! Everything was clearly discussed, communicated and documented throughout the process, and culminated in a wonderful wedding day. We cannot recommend this venue and the team more in creating a magical wedding for you. \n",

Abbey was extremely responsive through out the entire process, executed my visions perfectly, and I truly could not have done this day with out her. The venue is stunning and speaks for itself, the food is delicious, but the service and the staff are what makes this wedding venue amazing! The whole day went so smooth, and I received so many compliments through out the whole night. I was also provided with a bridal attendant (Amy, she was amazing) who made sure I had everything I needed through out the entire day. It is obvious that the staff cares about what they do and I cannot recommend this venue enough, I wouldn't have changed a thing!",

We selected this venue for its waterfront location, incredible food, and onsite accommodations, as well as the large houses they have to rent. Throughout the planning process, the team was highly responsive and supportive, helping us plan our wedding and providing feedback. On our wedding day, it was extremely hot and humid. Abbey, Rebecca, and the entire staff came together to help me when I was feeling unwell in the heat and actually changed our ceremony to indoors. I cannot say enough that at Saybrook Point you truly get what you pay for and more! Although the air conditioning struggled to fight off the heat, our night was amazing. Every single person there was professional, kind, and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect. The venue is situated on a beautiful marina and our guests from both in and out of state were clamoring to stay there once we showed them the photos! We were also fortunate enough to spend our wedding night in the lighthouse suite that looked over the entire property… an experience unlike any other. We made it a weekend event and our guests enjoyed the pools, spa and eats that all contributed to making the wedding such a memorable experience. The amenities, service and hospitality are simply top notch.\nOur wedding coordinator, Danielle Bailey, and her team were outstanding throughout the entire process. The team consistently delivered and went above and beyond to address any of my concerns and questions as well as offer other ideas to ensure our wedding went exactly how we envisioned it to be. Our day of wedding attendant, Jenn, was superb and always made sure myself, my husband and our guests were enjoying ourselves and that things ran according to plan. I told them when it was over I was going to miss planning with them! But we will certainly be back to celebrate our future milestones. \nAs an A-type personality/perfectionist, I can rarely give such a glowing review, but I can confidently attest to the fact that your wedding at Saybrook Point will be the one of your dreams just as it was mine!",

"content": "We received so many compliments about our wedding at Saybrook Point- beautiful views, great food, good service. The wedding coordinators were very responsive and on top of things in the last couple of weeks leading up to our event- we had a couple of last minute changes and they were helpful in accommodating. I think the only detail that was a little off was the timing of the ceremony/ moving down the aisle- it felt a little unorganized and I ended up standing in plain sight for minutes and my song didn’t play ahead of me coming down the aisle- so I’d make sure to go over the details for that portion of the event. Overall staff was very helpful and we had a wonderful time!",

"content": "From our guest - the wedding was beautiful. Unfortunately the staff at this establishment could care less about the bride and groom. My husband and I got married a few weeks ago and the stress this place caused us not only leading up to our day but the day off was disappointing. The coordinator fed us lies the entire time leading up.. the suite they showed us was not where we slept.. we slept in a basic room directly above the ball room where there was a wedding the next night. The coordinator told us 3 days prior she would reach out to a contact on the gold course down the road to ensure we would have no issues taking photos.. that was a lie. We got booted off immediately and had to take photos on the dock where we said repeatedly did not want our wedding photos. After our group photos were over with.. all we wanted was food from cocktail hour which our coordinator failed to give us and told us it was all put away.. she presented a donut where we still do not know where is came from.. I am assuming their break room. Note- there is “fresh salt”a restaurant attached to this Inn.. the staff there was rude. When we came to collect our wedding decor the staff opening took favors in front of us without asking and proceeded to hand them out to another employee and laughed. On top of everything our other vendors told us they too had an awful experience with this venue. Our DJ said this was the worst venue he had ever had to deal with… my florist called me the Friday before to warn me and let me know there was a funeral reception booked in the ballroom and they are only allowing them to set up ONE HOUR BEFORE COCKTAIL hour… the coordinator had told me her younger sister worked for the florist we hired. So when I said this to the coordinator she lied to my face and said that was not true but in fact.. that was true and the reason for having everyone rush. My husband and I paid for the most expensive package this had offered.. and we had our room blocks a complete capacity.. we were laid back the entire process and had put our trust into this place to make sure it was handled. Sadly on our special day, they made us feel not important at all…to our DJ, Florist, Photographer, videographer and Ice cream vendor, we cannot say thank you enough and couldn’t recommend those individuals enough. I will not recommend anyone using this facility to have their reception here. ",

We had a minor issue with our Pastor who got covid the day before our wedding and without hesitation Danielle jumped in and married us! Getting married at SP and working with Danielle over our year engagement was outstanding. Danielle was organized, prompt in communication, and thorough with all wedding details. Our wedding day went above and beyond what we hoped for and Danielle and the team at SP made it all possible. Our favorite parts included the endless raw bar during and hors d'oeuvre's during coctail hour. Our signature drinks and champagne was waiting for guests leaving the outdoor ceremony on the water. There was not a single complaint about the delicious, well-portioned meals - salad, pasta, dinner. The venue itself lent for the most outstanding photos ranging from the patio to the docks. The reception room arranged the tables exactly what we had envisioned and the choice we had in planing everything was comforting. We ended the night with a surprise bottle of champagne in our Bridal Suite which truly showed how much the team at SP and Danielle cared about us on this journey. I wish I could relive this memory every week - Saybrook Point made our wedding magical. I would highly recommend checking out this venue - you will not be disappointed!",

"content": "We chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception at the Saybrook Point Inn this year with the theme being a “White Winter Wedding”. From the moment, we selected the venue everything just seemed “right”. The staff were so attentive to us and really took the time to help us create and facilitate our wedding vision. The rooms were spacious, elegant and comfortable. My husband loved the bar, pool table and poker area he got to spend time in prior to the wedding. From the real-wood fireplaces in the lobby, to the elegant white lights and wreaths, and the garland highlighting the facility, it was truly a lovely and gorgeous venue to have our special day. We've been working with Krystal, the onsite wedding coordinator, for a couple years since COVID made us push our wedding back twice and she was very helpful and responsive to all of our many emails and concerns. Saybrook Point was very accommodating when it came to moving our wedding, making the process effortless. When the day finally came, it was everything we had imagined it would be and more. We handmade most of our decorations and favors and were worried it would be confusing and overwhelming for the venue to set up, but everything was executed flawlessly. Although Krystal wasn't able to be there on our big day, Danielle and Libby made everything move smoothly. The other staff (waitstaff, bartenders, etc.) were absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing. Everyone did their part in making us feel so special and blessed on our wedding day. Saybrook Point will forever have a special place in our hearts and we look forward to returning in the future years to come!",

Clear breakdown of costs from the beginning, fast replies with the coordinators, Krystal and Danielle, and the location was just breathtaking. Cocktail hour was plentiful and drinks were VERY generous. Table service was something everyone raved about. Glasses never went empty and I swear every piece of silverware was shined before setting out on the table. The facility was extremely clean and organized, and the food was on point. I HIGHLY recommend booking with them, you will not be disappointed.",

"content": "Our entire wedding experience with Saybrook Point Inn was exceptional. We knew that SPI was our venue from the moment we arrived to tour - it is classic, elegant, coastal New England at its finest. Krystal is a true expert, and was very responsive, transparent, and accommodating with my many questions related to rescheduling our date from 08/2020 to 08/2021. She made the entire process as smooth as could be despite the COVID-19 uncertainties, and we appreciate the venue's flexibility in this regard. \n\nOur church ceremony was offsite, but our day was seamless. As our rescheduled date followed Krystal's own wedding, we worked with Danielle the day-of. She was wonderful and communicated with my wedding planner and myself constantly during the day. I would highly recommend booking both the Lighthouse Suite and the Saybrook Room. The guys absolutely loved having the room for the morning getting ready, and I'm so glad I booked the Lighthouse for both Friday and Saturday nights. It was such a unique experience, a dream for bridal party prep, and the pictures are incredible. We also loved the addition of the new pergola and bar space, as did our guests. The Inn and the grounds are meticulously kept, the Lighthouse Gallery is so dreamy and romantic, and the venue does a great job of separating the wedding from the hotel guests. \n\nThe food is delicious - it was challenging to pick the menu because all of the options were delicious. We also highly recommend the after party at Fresh Salt and the post-wedding breakfast. The staff and the servers were amazing, and treated us and our parents like royalty. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. SPI is luxurious and unparalleled - you need to have your wedding here. We had the absolute best day of our lives, and we cannot thank Saybrook Point Inn enough!\n\nJillian & Ben, 08/14/21",

"content": "I can’t say enough good things about working with Krystal and the Saybrook Point Inn staff. From day 1 back in October of 2019, Krystal promptly answered all of my many, many questions. Because we had to postpone our wedding a year, a lot had changed from our original plans but Krystal made the transition seamless. With the new date, we were supposed to have our reception in the new pergola that they reception built, but mother nature had other plans and it was cold and rainy on Memorial Day weekend. I started to get a little flustered because this was yet another change to our big day. Once again, Krystal and her team made the move inside seamless. Danielle was very helpful in making sure that the diagrams for the tables were how I had envisioned them. On the day of Liz and Krystal were so great, they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire day and even made sure the bar was stocked with my favorite wine! I wish I could re-married at the SPI every year!",

The indoor/outdoor heated pools, Sauna steamroom and jacuzzi was so relaxing. The resturant Fresh Salt was delicious with fresh seafood pn the menu and specialty drinks!!! Great staff from the front desk to the hostess in the resturant. They couldn't do enough for you. Excellent place to stay and unwind!!! Looking forward to our next visit."

The pedicure was also well done—my feet felt refreshed and looked great afterward.\n\nThe spa itself has a peaceful environment with a nice ambiance that adds to the experience.
