The staff was so helpful, pleasant, and fun. \nWe were able to bring our own beer and refreshments and the staff took care of everything for us. The venue is so well run and our guests are still raving about how fun it was. \nWe all had a great time and there was something for everyone, including those that didn't want to throw axes. \nIf you're looking for a memorable and unique experience, this is your place!         "content": "Our wedding was on August 23rd 2021 and we had both the ceremony and reception at Stumpy's. It was small, intimate, magical, and absolutely perfect for our very small wedding. We got bbq catering delivered, brought cupcakes and drinks, and had the best time with our family and friends. Everyone loved throwing axes and relaxing. The Stumpy's crew was SO NICE and accommodating. The decorated the place with twinkly lights and tulle and gave me sunflowers and played the best music. 100/10 if you want a unique, stress free place to get married, I highly recommend Stumpy's.",

        "content": "Our wedding was December 5th, 2020 with the ceremony at St Patrick's Church in Somerset and the reception at Stumpy's. It was small because of personal preference, but smaller due to 2020 circumstances. The theme I had my heart set on was super homey, cozy, and FULL of Christmas. Ultimately, buffalo plaid/lumberjack Christmas.\n\nStumpy's was the absolute perfect venue for our little wedding!! I wanted something unique, festive, and fun --and it more than delivered. We had planned up to 25 guests as a safety, but the venue - especially during non-Pandemic times - can hold more. I was beyond thrilled with Kim the owner/decorator/event coordinator, her staff, and the space. Thrilled doesn't even cover it. She took a monumental stress from my shoulders by being diligent, communicative, having spectacular design, insight, and taste, and just being a phenomenal person to work with. Her staff helped my day run smoothly, and were a pleasure to work with too!\n\nFor the record, many of my guests had never thrown hatchets. By the end almost everyone was doing it and having fun. Even my guests who were in their 60s were throwing bullseyes! (My mum specifically) \n\nThis venue appeals across ages and across fitness levels, and really drives home a cozy, family, fun vibe. \n\nIf you are looking for a wedding venue that people will undoubtedly remember, will feel like home and family, and will aleve more stress than it creates - use this venue.",
